“Quit” drinking on Facebook and post your friends’ reaction

quit drinking

It’s time for another challenge to our readers. Facebook gives a great opportunity to surprise your friends by posting that you’ve quit drinking. Now of course we don’t make you give up alcohol, just announce that you’re a quitter, screenshot your friend’s reactions and send them to us.

As you see in the picture, the social network allows you to come up with a creative story about why you go for a dry regime or post a photo with your sad sober face. It is likely that some of your friends won’t buy your hoax, but they can post funny comments too. It’s easy to do: Go to the page of your own FB profile, then click “Life event” above your box for posts, select “Health & Wellness” and click “Quit a Habit”. What’s left to do is to select “Drinking” from the list of habits in the box that opens (the picture under the headline). Here is how it goes step by step:

step3And then you have the window you saw under the headline of the article. This window allows you to add an important “event” in your life. I myself tried this about two years ago:

quitting

Here are some of the other comments: “You traitor!”, “You’ll quit on 36 February”, “Quit the jokes, it’s not interesting” and “Quitting drinking is easy, some people have done it thousands of times.” I admit I did take a break from drinking back then, but just for several days. I never had the intention to be a permanent quitter.

We will post the most interesting reactions of your friends (we’ll be thankful if you explain them who started the idea and link them to this story). Please send your screenshots to our Facebook page or our e-mails: lordsofthedrinks@gmail.com and lordsofthedrinks@hotmail.com. And if you know about this initiative and see a friend’s prank on his Facebook profile, please don’t spoil it.
