Thank God for the good old snowplough drivers that pay attention.

Happy news from Norway. In the municipality of Notteroy a snowplough driver probably saved the life of a drunk man that was totally buried in snow. When doing his round the worker spotted the handlebar of a bicycle sticking out of a big pile of snow. When he took a closer look, he noticed the bike was attached to a 26-year old man. The man was unconscious and supercooled. When he woke up in the hospital he had no idea what happened to him. 

Policeman Knut Henning Bjune declared: “The only thing this man, who came from the near island Tjome, could tell us was that he was heading home after a night of drinking at a friend’s house.” Sounds like this snowplough driver saved a great night from going horribly wrong and even made it an epic one for the guy from Tjome. So let’s all keep this story in mind during the cold months. Or in the words of mister Jerry Springer: “Take care of yourself and each other.”

Also we hope this attentive worker proved that raising the prices on alcohol are not the only way to stop accidents from happening. As you probably know Norway has some of the most strict alcohol policies in the world. But people will drink anyway, no matter how much you ask for booze. You better make sure they also keep an eye out for one another too. So that was our early Christmas message. Or just some good advice for the shortest and coldest days of the year.
