Many people in Peru come to the cemetery to have a drink with their deceased loved ones now and then.

To finalize our Peruvian theme day we have quite a special short documentary for you. Metropolis TV shot people at a cemetery in one of the poorest areas of Peru’s capital Lima. The tradition there is to drink with the dead loved ones. In the Western World it would probably be a discrase if people started drinking  at a graveyard, but in many Latin American countries this is a perfectly normal thing to do. We’ll warn you that it’s not a happy video, but in it’s own way quite beautiful. Nice idea that your friends and family after you die will still toast, drink and sing together.
