When you drink hard, you might find yourself waking up in very strange places. However in some countries it’s quite risky to drink till you drop. A drunk man in India was taking a well-deserved nap outside a liquor store today, when he was discovered by a huge python. Unfortunately it was just around lunch time for the large snake, that smothered and ate him. The incident happened in the Attapadi area in the state Kerala. So if you ever have plans to go there on holiday, you better wait to get drunk until you’re safe and sound in your hotelroom.

  2. There’s a couple problems with this picture. A person could very easily fit into a pythons mouth, they can disarticulate their mouths, so that’s not the problem. Look at where the mass is located within the python. It starts a good 5 or 6 feet down from the mouth. Assuming this is a typical 21 ft. Retic(and this IS a Retic[Reticulated Python], btw), that would mean the bottom part of this person was down more than halfway to the tail. That would put him just feet from the anus, and he would’ve been mostly digested. This would mean that he would’ve lost a large portion of his circumference and the snake would not have been anywhere near as swollen as he is. Not only that, but in order for an animal to be that far down the digestive tract, it would’ve taken this snake months to digest him that far. No chance the snake would’ve just wandered into a cafe or wherever he is and not been stopped. When constrictors have this kind of meal in their systems, they lie motionless for months. A large Retic could very easily swallow a human if they had the time to strangle and swallow their meal, but as far as my knowledge goes there’s never been a legitimately recorded instance of this happening to an adult. Kids have been swallowed, that’s fairly common, but not a full grown adult. Retics grow to larger than this, and there’s well documented reports of Retics swallowing animals larger than humans. This pic is a fake though, and there are hundreds of pictures like this.

      • So, ISON, you know about snakes, do you ? You an expert Herpetologist ? You a Pathologist ? Do you have any credential other than high school dropout ? If there’s a Junior College in your neighborhood, I’d suggest cashing in your beer cans at a
        scrap metal buyer, and the bus. You can learn something real. And not about how to just shoot your mouth off. And, we thank you for your support.

    • yep… I have seen this same pic long time ago as reported from Thailand, South America(claiming that the snake is an anaconda) 😀

      1) First of all, snakes swallow their prey from the head.
      2) It is impossible for any snake to extend they jaws to the length of our broad shoulders. This has been scientifically proven.
      3) Hence, it is impossible for any snake to swallow an adult human. They can, however swallow small children and can just kill adults.

      • What’s your problem dude? If it’s a hoax, it’s one we didn’t create. If you don’t want to read any of our posts than just stay away. Your life must be pretty pathetic if you take the time to hunt hoaxes and leave replies everywhere. Personally I prefer to sit back have a beer and hit on hot chicks. Call me crazy!

  4. This is a hoax….If you look close at the markings of the snake….you will see that it changes as it gets close to where it expands and looks like a Man,etc could be inside its belly…..Snakes do not change their markings half way down their body.

  6. Maybe a small child but most snakes mouths can’t fit over or past our shoulder blades no matter how hard they try, their mouths would split even when unhinged…they can kill us but swallow a whole human…don’t think so.

  12. This is a hoax Because it is not Kerala. I can be sure of this much from the terrain. Also if it was kerala you cant see a group of more than two men in which none are wearing lungis. They dont wear pants so much in Kerala. They wear lungis.

  13. However weather this is fake or real. Pythons or Anacondas are capable eating humans…. a child was rescued in Brazil by his grandfather. …and if you own one of these Snakes as private pet and you find it stretched out in a coma kinda stage for days…it means it is measuring weather it is able or large enough to consume you facts

    • that’s entirely true. I have a friend who had a pet snake.. she loved the thing. Even slept with it curled up in her bed. Well, for a few days, she noticed that it was sleeping straight along beside her and she thought the thing was sick so she called the vet.. the vet had to send an exotic snake handler out to collect the snake because he feared it was sizing her up to try to eat her. LOL.

  21. These comments about large constrictors not being able to bypass and swallow a human because of the shoulder blades are completely false and misleading. Anacondas have swallowed and consumed many a baby hippo, which are much wider than shoulder blades, rib-cages especially. A snake of this size could easily swallow a full grown human, especially the averaged sized human from this part of the world.

    Before you decide to scrutinize me, “Yes, I am an expert on snakes and have several very high degrees in herpetology and other such surrounding areas. I’d be happy to furnish details if requested and hundreds of pictures of myself with snakes this size and larger in my care and being relocated, captured and cared for.

    Now then, yes the picture is a hoax. It’s not a human in the belly of this beast. Although a human WOULD NOT be decomposed at the distance it’s traveled in this particular herp, as indicated previously, it would be very similar and quite accurate. Unfortunately though, this picture has surfaced many times over the years with different claims and different locations. It was actually a private zoo owned specimen and was recently fed a calf. I apologize that I do not have the original link readily available, but I’m sure if you dig around and Google it a while, you’ll find it. It’s complete with the entire feeding, swallowing and show pictures in chronological order.

    • Incidentally, I’m not indicating this is an anaconda, it’s a reticulated python. Anaconda’s were simply used for the example I provided above. There’s sincerely no need to be flaming each other and calling each other names over a simple hoax or picture such as this.

  25. This can’t be true. I have some reasons to believe so. Though Attapadi is a forest area and sighting a Python is quite possible, it is a village area. This area has a huge tribal population. I don’t think the area is as developed as what is shown in the picture. If this really happened there, you could have seen a bunch of veshti mundu /lungi clad guys there… but there are none.

I would love to know how many of use actually work with these snakes or any snake/reptile, as some of these comments are absolutely ridiculous and have made me laugh! “sizing up” and “can only eat 5 times the size of their head” are all hilarious! im actually a reptile keeper myself, so I don’t go on what the internet says or what a friend said about her snake sizing her up and blah blah, I go on true facts and the proof of working with them! Lighten up people! a lot of you seem like very boring people to sit there and think you know it all when sooo many of these comments are wrong! there is tonnes of pictures out there of giant crocs or body parts in crocs and other pythons eating humans and so on and so fourth, there always going to be around as people need the thrill of the attention seeking! so just chillax people

Some nights, I choose to get sauced on my own… somewhere around that third bottle of twenty year-old Petrus. Yes, I know, its just a hoax.
